At age eight, Haley made copies and greeted clients at her dad’s insurance office. Today she and her husband, Jonathan, have grown his life’s work into something he never could have dreamed. Here’s their story.
At age eight, Haley spent her afternoons at her dad’s insurance office, making copies and coffee, greeting clients and taking coats. Even then, she knew she wanted to do what her dad did: help people with their money.
Today, Haley and her husband, Jonathan, have taken the business her father built for more than forty years and turned it into more than he could have ever dreamed. Critically, they took an insurance-only business and added AUM, opening a world of financial planning and advice. They streamlined their marketing around seminars, focusing on women’s seminars in particular, and added staff.
Gradient’s promise of helping each advisor find their own horizon especially resonates with them.
"It’s so rewarding to be a generational company serving new generations of clients."

“For us, we want growth to come from our current client base and referrals,” Haley says. “We don’t want to supervise a huge team or expand to multiple offices. We want to focus on taking great care of the clients we have.”
That approach is paying off. They now serve the children, and even grandchildren, of the original clients, while still having the time they want with their own two kids.
